Let’s start with the role
The Content Specialist will execute the brand content strategy across various, online and offline, touchpoints, supporting all relevant communications of the local and international marketing teams. This role is focused on a range of content-driven activities, with particular emphasis on optimizing the customer journey across our services and communication channels, while also contributing to the successful delivery of all content-related requirements of the Betano brand in Romania.
As a Content Specialist, you will:
- Deliver the editorial calendar on a monthly basis to ensure timely content distribution;
- Support Marketing and CRM on daily content and visuals briefings and requests for internal and external brand communication;
- Provide specific creative deliverables to other team members across CRM, CMS, ACQ, Product, Sponsoring;
- Provide writing, editing and proofreading services for recurring or ad hoc copy requests, including new offers or products, campaigns, newsletters, and projects;
- Suggest marketing copy for main and secondary campaigns, based on the channel of use (e.g. banners, on-site) and optimize existing wording and messaging within a strict regulatory framework;
- Collaborate with local agencies on social media and content execution, when needed;
- Contact external partners like influencers and journalists for content distribution upon request;
- Work with local and international Marketing, Product and other internal teams on content requests, execution and distribution;
- Support the HQ Content team in fulfilling inbound content-related tasks, such as operational content (Customer Support, KYC, Payments, CRM etc.), Betting Terms updates, Legal Terms’ amendments, SEO requests, and website/native apps maintenance/optimisation;
- Ensure all content aligns with the brand’s tone of voice and style guide;
- Produce and/or provide guidelines to publishers for native content creation;
- Monitor competition across social media, on-site content and blog platforms;
- Proactively propose new ideas for content formats and distribution.
What you’ll bring:
- Degree in Journalism/ Marketing / Communications or a related field;
- Passion for writing and sports. Experience in sports betting content creation and/or sports or online sports editorial is a plus;
- At least 2-3 years of agency/copywriting experience;
- Native Romanian speaker, fluent in English;
- Strong understanding of digital/online platforms and their application;
- Ability to manage multiple streams of work simultaneously;
- Knowledge of SEO practices (will work together with our HQ team) is a plus;
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment;
- Experience in moderating and growing brand-owned social communities, with a strong focus on engagement, is a plus;
- Self-motivated, flexible and a team player with a keen eye for detail.
