PLEASE NOTE: This position is located in our Charlotte, NC office . We offer a hybrid work schedule (three days in the office and two days of teleworking) to accommodate for flexibility. THE POSITION
As LendingTree’s Litigation Paralegal, you will be an addition to the legal department by providing task-specific support for the Legal, Compliance and Government Relations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high quality customer service to all business teams and external parties related to pre-litigation and litigation matters, including assisting in the use of Salesforce for the entry, review and management of matters.
- Manage the initial intake and set up of matters by setting up files, requesting documentation, maintaining documents within Salesforce
- Assist counsel with investigations on pre-litigation and litigation matters as well as third party subpoenas, and assist with related discovery requests, including gathering and reviewing information.
- Provide support to the Government Relations team through tracking and summarizing legislative and regulatory activity; conduct legal and policy research as needed.
- Support government relations and lobbying compliance, including registrations, disclosures, and filings.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings with legislative offices; manage calendars, materials, and follow-up.
- Follow up with business teams on outstanding legal requests and run status reports in Salesforce as needed
- Track and report legal spend on a monthly basis
- Manage and coordinate responses to consumer complaints and requests
- Provide administrative support for various legal and compliance-related matters
- Other duties as needed to meet the ongoing needs of the LendingTree organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS required
- Minimum five (5) years of proven experience working at a law firm or with in-house legal team, and comfortable liaising with business clients and various business partners and all levels of management.
- Significant experience coordinating discovery and subpoena responses.
- Experience with Government Relations filings.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, especially Outlook, Word and Excel, and Salesforce.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment and able to balance and triage competing priorities.
- Strong organizational and planning skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience using case management systems.
- Highly organized, resourceful and flexible.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ambitious and autonomous.

The base pay range for this position in Colorado/New York/California is $90,000-110,000. however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Incentive Compensation: Eligible for annual performance bonus
