About the Role:

Lyra’s Corporate Development & Strategy team plays a critical role in helping to shape and realize Lyra’s mission and long-term strategy through both organic and inorganic initiatives. In this role, you will support the Corporate Development team on end-to-end M&A transactions across sourcing, diligence, deal execution, and integration. You will also partner with teams across the company including go-to-market, finance, clinical, product and legal to evaluate and refine M&A priorities.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with a growth mindset. You must be proactive, collaborative, and capable of operating in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, business drivers, and organizational needs.

This role will report to the Sr. Manager of Corporate Development and can be carried out fully remote / virtually. Remote candidates must be physically located within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the behavioral health market and adjacent markets. Support market mapping, maintaining a pipeline of M&A targets, and building relationships with prospects.

  • Initial Diligence: Develop investment theses and build efficient processes to evaluate M&A opportunities.

  • Financial modeling: Build detailed financial and valuation models, incorporating in-depth synergy analyses and clear, defensible assumptions.

  • Deal Execution: Manage data rooms and data requests, coordinate with third-party advisors and internal cross-functional teams to conduct comprehensive due diligence.

  • Executive Communications: Support building slides and memos to present M&A updates, proposals, and strategic recommendations to Lyra’s executive team and Board.

  • Integration: Support the transition for diligence to post-close integration, as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years work experience, with 2+ years of investment banking, private equity, or venture capital direct investing experience.

  • Prior experience contributing to an M&A transaction end-to-end, including familiarity with data rooms, diligence request lists, interacting with leadership teams, and building efficient processes and templates.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and balance multiple deliverables with competing timelines in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Comfortable navigating ambiguity, developing workplans, and operating with limited guidance and oversight.

  • Advanced financial modeling skills with the ability to distill complex decisions into simple but comprehensive financial models, including quantifying revenue and cost synergies.

  • Excellent communication skills and experience presenting clear analyses and concise recommendations directly to senior leadership.
