Pre-Sales Consultant

We have offices in London and Bristol together with access to co-working space. We offer the opportunity to work remotely (role, business and client dependent) with support for your home office set-up if required. We have regular all company away days and other company, client and team meetings, your attendance at which will be mandatory. This specific role is a hybrid role and you will be expected to spend time with colleagues in our London office on a weekly basis.

Mission for the role: The Pre-Sales Consultant will be a pivotal bridge between Moneyhub’s complex technical ecosystem and our clients’ commercial objectives. We are looking for an individual who is not just a “product demonstrator,” but a solution architect capable of navigating the business, technical and political complexities of Enterprise-level financial services. Business and Technical Solutioning & Architecture - 40% Translating client requirements as well as leading clients on a value-based journey. Translating business and technical requirements into API-led solutions, Digital Embedded Journeys and Insights, mapping Moneyhub capabilities to client pain points, and addressing non-functional queries Client-Facing Sales Support 35% Leading demos, workshops and presentations to C-suite stakeholders and SMEs. Owning the “technical win” in the sales cycle. Internal Collaboration & Product Feedback - 15% Closing the loop between market requirements and the product roadmap; working closely with Product,
Sales Ops & Knowledge Management - 10%
Maintaining RFx library, proof-of-concept (PoC) frameworks, and pre-sales collateral. Both oversight and hands-on involvement, e.g. writing RFx responses.
Your first 9 months
3 Months: Foundation & Integration
- Focus: Understanding of Moneyhub Pre-Sales playbook, propositions, tools & processes, API suite and sandbox environment.
- Measurable Goal: Successfully shadow 8 client meetings and lead 3 “Standard” product demos without intervention.
- Measurable Goal: Able to support targeted initial client meetings “standalone” and support select pre-sales deliverables, e.g. Client Solution Documents and RFx responses.
6 Months: Execution & Ownership
- Focus: Full ownership of the technical sales cycle for mid-market opportunities.
- Measurable Goal: Own and deliver 2 technology workshops and 1 high-quality RFx response with minimal oversight.
- Measurable Goal: Define and launch a repeatable “Discovery Workshop” framework to be used by the sales team.
9 Months: Strategic Impact
Focus: Influencing the product roadmap and leading Enterprise-tier accounts.
Measurable Goal: Contribute to the closure of at least £Xk in New Business through technical validation.
Measurable Goal: Identify 3 product gaps from client interactions and present formal business cases to the Product Team for inclusion in the roadmap
5+ years’ experience in a senior Pre-Sales, Solutions Consulting, or Solutions Architecture role within Enterprise SaaS.
A strong technical foundation, with hands-on experience of REST APIs, OIDC/FAPI, and modern web architectures.
Experience operating within a scale-up environment, ideally 50–250 employees, with the confidence to work through ambiguity and help build processes as you go.
A genuine interest in the future of financial services, data, and the technology shaping the industry.
The ability to think strategically, understanding not just what a client is asking for today, but the longer-term business value they’re trying to create.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
A background in fintech or financial services is essential, particularly across retail banking, lending, or savings.
Experience across wealth, life & pensions, or payments would be advantageous.
Experience with Open Banking or Open Finance is highly desirable.
A naturally curious, commercially aware, and collaborative approach, with a high bar for quality and customer outcomes
