Job Description
We are looking for a self-driven and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our FP&A team in a high-growth Saas company that values diversity and accountability. This is a unique opportunity to join an international technology company where you will play a critical role in managing and shaping the strategic direction of the organization through diligent and collaborative support of key functional areas.
Your Role:
As a leader of the FP&A team, you will monitor, analyze and manage the expenses and headcount of key functional areas. You own companywide headcount planning, consolidation of financials and is a key contributor of Board presentation preparation. You form thorough understanding of headcount strategies across the various functional areas and how they impact the financials through close partnership with HR and functional leaders. You are the trusted advisor who can understand the big picture while comfortable manipulating large sets of data to produce insightful analyses.
- Weekly and monthly reconciliation of headcount and related assumptions that drive forecast accuracy
- Update rolling forecast, annual budget and long-range plan as well as relevant KPIs
- Consolidate expenses from various FP&A team members to understand overall impact on EBITDA and make adjustments necessary to align with business strategy
- Work directly with Finance leadership team to produce content for Board presentations
- Proactively research variances or anomalies promptly surface issues and address them effectively with the appropriate parties. Comfortable pulling general ledger details to investigate discrepancies
- Ability to forge collaborative relationships across the organization and effectively communicate to different stakeholders
- Continuously improve processes and/or assess adoption of new tools to drive greater efficiency and accuracy
- A team leader who enjoys mentoring and coaching analysts to help them reach their potential
Qualifications
- 8+ years of Finance or Accounting experience in a fast-paced international environment, preferably in a technology company
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, statistics, economics, business, or other related field
- Excellent Excel skills and high degree of comfort working with large data sets. Experience with financial planning software such as Adaptive Planning is highly preferred
- Strong financial acumen and fundamental understanding of accounting principles
- Experience managing and coaching direct reports is preferred
- A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Willingness to dive into the details while maintaining perspective of the big picture
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; a strong collaborator who keeps their stakeholders informed in a timely and effectively manner
