Job Description

About the role

At Nexthink, we are reimagining how the Product organization scales its impact. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to take ownership of automation solutions that reduce manual effort, improve operational efficiency, and help Product teams deliver value to customers faster.

This role supports Nexthink’s Product organization, serving a group of 30+ people. You will operate in a highly autonomous, foundational role, acting as the primary engineer responsible for the automation domain. You will own technical direction and execution, while partnering with stakeholders who identify and prioritize automation opportunities.

The role requires strong engineering judgment, end-to-end ownership, and comfort operating independently in a production environment with real business impact.

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, and own advanced automation workflows and architectures, integrating systems through APIs and applying AI and LLM capabilities, using Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft 365, AWS services, GitHub Actions, and more.

  • Own the administration and optimization of the automation environment for performance, reliability, cost, and governance.

  • Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and iterate on workflows to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and production-level reliability.

Qualifications

Must-have:

  • 6 - 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of production systems end to end.

  • Strong system design skills, including event-driven and serverless architectures, with clear trade-off reasoning.

  • Understanding of APIs, webhooks, and REST/Graph integrations.

  • Ability to work independently. Demonstrated ability to make architectural decisions, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with cloud-based automation or workflow tools such as AWS services, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft 365, or similar systems.

  • Experience applying AI and LLM capabilities in production workflows, including prompt design, evaluation, and risk mitigation.

At Nexthink, you will join a dynamic, fast-growing team where innovation and ownership are encouraged. This is more than an engineering role—it’s an opportunity to shape how we work, scale our impact, and bring AI-powered automation into the heart of our product operations.
