Nutrition International

We are a global organization established in 1992, formerly known as the Micronutrient Initiative. We deliver proven nutrition interventions to populations in need, working in partnership with countries, donors, and implementers. Our experts conduct nutrition research, support policy formulation, and integrate nutrition into broader development programs. We operate in more than 60 countries, primarily in Asia and Africa.

We specialize in women and girls’ nutrition, infant and young child nutrition, generating evidence for policy, salt iodization, food fortification, and micronutrient supplementation. Our work includes managing programs such as Child Survival initiatives, maternal nutrition financing initiatives (focused on antenatal MMS and calcium supplementation), and institutional support grants.

Our team comprises between 501 and 1000 individuals. Our work environment is collaborative and engaging, encouraging cross-functional teamwork within our diverse, global team. Many roles support hybrid work, especially in Ottawa, Canada, with some positions offering remote work options from Canada or our regional/country offices. Some roles require frequent travel, including to program countries in Asia and Africa, with certain positions involving up to 40 days of travel per year.

We offer competitive market pay, a pension plan, and health and dental benefits. You receive four weeks of vacation plus public holidays, with some contract roles offering 8% in lieu of vacation.
