Job Description

Purpose of role

We are seeking a Senior Consultant for our Singapore team to deliver high‑quality regulatory advice to Asset Management and Funds clients in Singapore and abroad. The role includes contributing to marketing and business development, supporting technical research, and producing technical materials.

Ocorian Consulting Singapore advises clients on regulatory requirements across the full regulatory lifecycle — from licensing and building practical Compliance Frameworks to meeting ongoing MAS expectations, conducting regulatory audits, and implementing regulatory change.

The successful candidate will primarily support Fund Management Company clients, with opportunities to work with clients in other sectors.

Main Responsibilities

Client Delivery

  • Provide regulatory advice across policy drafting, internal/regulatory audits, training preparation and delivery, MAS liaison, licensing support, regulatory filings, and responding to client queries.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients as the main point of contact, ensuring timely responses, clear expectations, and high‑quality deliverables.
  • Review colleagues’ work and provide constructive feedback where required.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing and resolve billing queries with internal teams.
  • Meet billable targets and maintain a strong pipeline of client work.
  • Collaborate globally with sector teams on shared projects.
  • Maintain quality and records by following the QA Framework, recording time accurately, and keeping CRM and client files up to date.

Business Development

  • Build strong relationships with clients, service providers, trade associations, and MAS.
  • Grow the pipeline through up‑selling, cross‑selling, and targeting new clients.
  • Prepare and present proposals that are well‑structured and commercially priced.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, briefings, and webinars.
  • Support marketing by contributing articles, social media content, and marketing materials.
  • Record activity including leads, opportunities, and proposals in the CRM system.

Regulatory Knowledge

  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and assess their impact on client activities.
  • Understand client businesses to deliver accurate, relevant advice.
  • Support internal capability building by identifying skills gaps, contributing to internal training, sharing knowledge, and attending relevant industry training and events.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Degree‑educated
  • Mandarin proficiency beneficial but not essential
  • Compliance experience gained at an FMC, legal practice, consultancy, or the MAS
  • Client relationship management experience
  • Strong MAS regulatory knowledge in the funds sector
  • Deep understanding of fund management and industry practices
  • Ability to translate regulation into practical solutions for clients
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding financial targets; consulting experience advantageous
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • CRM experience preferred
