Job Description

  • Executing functional testing on newly developed features
  • Proficient with test methodologies for acceptance
  • Able to test in Unreal Editor and verify functionality of asset/code submits
  • Monitoring and escalating bugs in assigned project features/teams
  • Ensuring feature health and promoting quality in deliveries
  • Supporting developers (programmers, designers, artists, etc) during first implementation / integration testing
  • Autonomously draft test suites proposal for QA lead approval on newly implemented features

Qualifications

  • Typically 1+ years working as DevQA
  • Active gamer with passion for multiplayer games and solid understanding of modern games mechanics in both PvE and PvP environments
  • Knowledge of PC and consoles above level of regular end user
  • Experience with all areas of game testing and various test methodologies (halo testing, smoke testing, golden path, ect) to ensure the highest possible quality and maximum efficiency
  • Ability to operate under time-sensitive deadlines and proactively escalate when deadlines may be missed
  • Curiosity and strong will to study and understand the underlying game mechanics in order to not only discover, but foresee potential issues in different game areas
  • Ability to adapt to new procedures and foresee risk
  • Have familiarity with source control software / CICD Pipeline
  • Proficiency in using JIRA as a bug-tracking tool
  • High work ethic and self-motivated
  • Proficiency in testing modern-gen platforms such as PS5 and XB Series
  • Proactive and professional in communication

Nice to have:

  • ISTQB Certification
  • Certification/Education in gaming-related fields
