Plus Power

We develop, own, and operate transmission-connected battery energy storage systems. We partner with electric utility companies to provide capacity, energy, and other services. Our systems help reduce operating costs for utilities, benefit ratepayers, and make the grid more stable and resilient. We store excess energy and release it back into the grid during high demand, storms, or unexpected outages, providing a flexible resource for the electric grid.

We have over 11 gigawatts of projects in development across more than 20 U.S. states, with 1,650 MW / 4,150 MWh currently operating or under construction. We operate 8 projects in Arizona, Hawaii, Massachusetts, and Texas. We also developed two projects in Texas that are now owned and operated by other companies. One more project is currently under construction.

Our major projects include the Rodeo Ranch Energy Storage facility, the 250 MW / 1000 MWh Sierra Estrella Energy Storage project, the 185 MW / 565 MWh Kapolei (KES) facility, and the 340 MW / 1360 MWh Sierra Estrella and Superstition projects. Other projects are the 150 MW / 300 MWh Cranberry Point and the 100 MW / 175 MWh Gambit. We have secured 6.5 MWh worth of batteries for projects coming online by 2025. Plus Power was founded in 2018.
