This position is 100% remote anywhere in the US.

Overview:

Precisely is seeking an experienced Director for the Cloud Operations team who will lead a North America based team responsible for the operations of Precisely’s multi-tenant and hosted products. You will be responsible for the performance and career development of your engineering team, as well as creating a climate that achieves a high degree of employee engagement. You will ensure customer success through reliability, scalability, cost-efficiency, and continuous improvement of our multi-tenant and hosted products. The ability to drive excellence in cloud operations practices such as automated provisioning, observability, and incident management across your team will be critical. You will be frequently collaborating cross functionally with internal teams and with customers to advise on solution architecture, cloud infrastructure sizing & capacity, and cost.

What you will do:

  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud services working with teams across multiple geographies.
  • Lead improvements to automation, incident management, and cost and capacity planning practices.
  • Collaborate closely with product development and product management teams to facilitate delivery of new functionality and capabilities to our multi-tenant and hosted products.
  • Collaborate with customer support to ensure customer satisfaction and resolution of issues, and improvement of issue management processes.
  • Work directly with the sales, sales engineering, and professional services to support sales opportunities by aligning resources to support pilots and proof of concepts, and advising on solution architecture.
  • Highlight applicable technical, process, and resourcing adjustments that are needed to achieve organizational goals.​

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering and operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience developing, deploying, and operating SaaS / hosted workloads on public cloud platforms; AWS experience is a must, Azure is beneficial
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure tools and processes (monitoring, deployment, security, CI/CD, Deployment Pipelines).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Travel is required: Yes, Approximately 5%
