In this role, you can make an impact and grow with us as Tech Lead (Integrations) (m/w/d):
You will take end-to-end technical ownership of Recare’s integration and interoperability layer – enabling external systems to embed Recare seamlessly into their internal workflows. Your work ensures secure, reliable, and scalable data exchange between hospitals, aftercare providers, and external platforms, forming a critical backbone of the Recare ecosystem.
You own the technical direction of the integrations domain – including architecture decisions, standards, and roadmap execution.
You lead the team as the technical backbone and escalation point, ensuring clarity, speed, and strong execution.
You partner closely with Product to translate requirements into clear, shippable technical plans and manage trade-offs early.
You design and evolve external integrations, including APIs, workflows, and data models for secure interoperability.
You enable free and reliable data flow between Recare and external systems, including legacy hospital applications, through automation and integration tooling.
You build secure communication and end-to-end encrypted messaging and file exchange capabilities.
You drive performance and reliability improvements, including query optimization and bottleneck analysis.
You automate recurring operational work and build internal tooling to increase team speed and efficiency.
You ensure production readiness t hrough strong testing practices and an “always deployable” mindset.

Requirements
Here’s how we picture you as our Tech Lead (Integrations) (m/w/d):
You bring 6+ years of professional software development experience (ideally with a CS background or equivalent depth of knowledge) and have led and owned technical directions team outcomes end to end.
You have production experience with Golang (or another C-family language) and are comfortable owning backend systems in production.
You understand how to design and operate scalable backend systems, including APIs, data models, and integration-heavy architectures.
You think in systems and trade-offs, and you actively drive for robust, maintainable, and simple solutions.
You take ownership of your domain end-to-end – from conception to production and ongoing operations.
You communicate confidently in English and German, and are comfortable operating in an international environment.
You are willing to travel occasionally to hospitals together with a Technical Product Manager to work hands-on on integration challenges and iterate directly on site.
You are based in Germany, ideally in Berlin or within easy reach of Berlin.
You care about security, reliability, and data protection, especially in healthcare environments.
Nice to have: experience with healthcare IT systems (HIS, KIS, PVS) and interoperability standards such as HL7 v2 or FHIR.
