Job Description
The opportunity:
We are seeking a sketching ninja who is trendy and fashion savvy, to join our design team as a Design Assistant. The Design Assistant supports the Design team in product development and the translation of fashion trends to meet the needs of our target customer.
What you do:
- Manages and documents all aspects of sample management in the system
- Creates and executes design sketches
- Assists in the preparation of seasonal color cards
- Assists in preparing concepts, sketches and presentations
- Creates and updates collection boards
- Prepares fabric trims, hand-offs and follow-ups with Global Sourcing
- Prepares merchandising boards and design line sheets
Qualifications
Who you are:
- College diploma in Fashion Design
- Minimum 1 year of related experience
- Excellent fashion sense
- Excellent knowledge of Illustrator
- Ability to interract with various departments
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
