AT A GLANCE
As the Director, Business Development for Weight Care, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of our business through new and existing market development initiatives. This role drives net-new revenue by building strong relationships with C-level stakeholders and positioning RVO Health’s digital health platform as a strategic solution to improve care delivery, efficiency, and outcomes. You will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy, identifying and closing new business opportunities, forging relationships with key stakeholders, and executing strategic initiatives to generate revenue growth and market penetration across B2B Channels (commercial employers and payers).

To prioritize togetherness, culture, and accountability, RVO Health operates on an in-office work schedule. We expect employees to work from our Minneapolis office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. You are welcome to work remotely Mondays and Fridays if you wish.

What You’ll Do
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and lead a full-cycle enterprise sales strategy – from initial prospecting and pipeline building to complex deal negotiations, closing, and client onboarding.
- Lead the development and presentation of business cases and ROI assessments that articulate clinical and economic value unique to our digital health intervention for weight health.
- Establish and maintain reporting on pipeline status, execution, and sales performance metrics.
Strategic Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain executive-level-relationships, serving as a trusted advisor, while optimizing sales potential by understanding the client’s clinical and operational challenges.
- Leverage existing industry contacts and relationships to establish an early base of interest while soliciting product feedback.
Collaboration:
- Build cross-functional alignment with internal Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Clinical teams. Leverage this alignment and direct client feedback channels to drive product optimization and client satisfaction in a fast-paced, dynamic market.
Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging industry trends. Track competitor offerings, regulatory changes, and customer needs to inform business development priorities and strategic decision-making.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 5-10+ years of proven success in business development or partnership management within the digital health, payer, or health system sectors
- Proven success in closing $1M+ enterprise deals with long, complex sales cycles (6–12 months)
- Subject matter expertise in metabolic health, pharmacotherapy interventions for weight management and comprehensive weight health programs
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and C-suite level relationship-building skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while effectively managing multiple projects and competing priorities
- Willingness to travel 50%+ to engage stakeholders and represent RVO Health at key industry events.
Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.
- Starting Salary: $133,600 - $170,000*
*Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience
