POSITION OVERVIEW
Provide front-line logistics support to Field Service, Purchasing, Transportation, and Regional Competency Center teams by coordinating material deliveries, returns, and inventory movements across North America. The Logistics Coordinator ensures accurate system data, timely communication, and clean documentation related to spare parts, repairs, and inventory consumption. This role interfaces regularly with internal stakeholders, third-party logistics partners, and global teams, including coordination with Germany. This is a contract position with an expected duration of 6+ months.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate delivery to and return of materials from Field Service Engineers across North America.
- Maintain parts and equipment records through accurate data entry, database updates, and weekly reporting.
- Communicate professionally with engineers and customers regarding spare parts needs, deliveries, and returns.
- Enter and reconcile data in SAP based on Field Service reports from Salesforce, emails, and submitted forms, including investigation and resolution of discrepancies.
- Work cross-functionally with Purchasing, Transportation, third-party logistics partners, Regional Competency Center, and Field Service teams.
- Track repairs and returns of parts to and from Germany.
- Archive and maintain Field Service databases, including customer data, service reports, and photographs.
- Maintain a centralized library of procedures, technical manuals, software releases, and documentation.
- Prepare data for reports, including tracking inverter repairs and inventory consumption.
- Assist with cycle counting and annual inventory processes.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
- Knowledge of supply chain fundamentals including procurement, warehousing, and transportation.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- High attention to detail with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with SAP or another ERP system.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-service mindset with strong interpersonal communication skills.
WE OFFER
- Compensation Range: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Contract duration of 6+ months.
- Hybrid work model if local; remote option available for non-local candidates.
- Ideally targeting a start date of Monday, 3⁄9.
