As a Junior Software Engineer in the Emerging Growth group in our Tel Aviv office, you’ll play a vital role in building one of Taboola’s newest and most strategic growth domains: a self-service platform that lets advertisers and partners independently build, optimize and scale their campaigns.
We’re an AI-native team. AI coding agents like Claude Code, Codex and Cursor are part of how we design, build, test, review and operate our systems every day, and we build our own agents, skills and automated workflows on top of them. We’re looking for someone early in their career who learns fast, takes on new languages and challenges without hesitation, and uses AI to multiply their impact.
Our Tech Stack:
- AI: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, MCP, Langfuse and much more
- Backend: Java, Spring, Python, Kafka, MySQL, Cassandra, Vertica, HDFS, BigQuery, Druid, Docker, K8S, Grafana
- Frontend: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS, Jest, Playwright
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- B.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent
- 1–2 years of hands-on software development experience in a production environment, as an intern, in a student position or full-time
- Hands-on AI: you use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) as part of your daily development workflow, and you know how to check and verify what they produce
- Fast learner: you pick up new languages, frameworks and domains quickly, and you aren’t afraid to dive into what you don’t know
- The ability to juggle several workstreams and switch context well, including coordinating multiple AI agents working in parallel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A product-driven mindset and a passion for working close to the business
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with Java or other object-oriented languages (C#, Kotlin, C++ or similar)
- Experience building AI agents, MCP servers, custom skills or automated workflows on top of AI coding tools
- Full-stack experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML and CSS
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, Vertica, Cassandra)
- Exposure to large-scale distributed systems, Kafka, Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience with big data tools (Spark, BigQuery, Airflow)
- Graduated with honors

- Have end-to-end ownership: design, build, ship, measure and maintain frontend and backend services in a brand-new product domain
- Work AI-first: use AI coding agents every day to plan, code, test, review and debug, often running several agents in parallel on different tasks
- Build AI agents, skills and workflows that multiply the team’s capabilities, such as automated code reviews, data analysis, production investigation and feature validation
- Develop at unimaginable scale, serving thousands of requests per second
- Influence directly on the way billions of people discover the internet
- Collaborate closely with the brightest engineers, product managers and business teams
- Work on innovative projects that are the next growth engines for Taboola
