Job Description
As a Senior Business Analyst, you play a pivotal role in transforming how TAL delivers claims experiences that truly matter. By bringing clarity to complexity, you help turn bold ideas into practical solutions that improve outcomes for customers at some of life’s most critical moments. Working at the intersection of people, process and technology, your insights shape investment decisions, influence operating models, and enable meaningful change at scale. It’s a role where analytical thinking and human impact come together to help TAL protect what’s important to Australians.
In this role you will:
- Analyse end‑to‑end claims processes to identify opportunities to improve speed, cost and customer experience
- Translate complex business needs into clear, testable requirements for technology delivery
- Partner with Product Owners and Technology to shape fit‑for‑purpose solutions
- Embed customer insight and regulatory requirements into process and solution design
- Facilitate cross‑functional workshops to align stakeholders and drive decisions
- Ensure requirements are delivered as intended, supporting quality outcomes end to end
Qualifications
- Brings practical experience as a Business Analyst, with the ability to document and simplify complex business and claims processes
- Has a strong understanding of end‑to‑end claims operations, ideally within life insurance or financial services
- Is confident translating business needs into clear requirements, user stories and process maps that technology teams can build from
- Is comfortable working in agile delivery environments, using tools such as Jira, Confluence and Visio to support collaboration
- Builds strong relationships across diverse stakeholders, communicating clearly and influencing through trust and collaboration
- Brings a customer‑centred, curious mindset, balancing analytical thinking with empathy and a drive to continuously improve
