- Pay: $165,000–$180,000 base • $200,000–$220,000 OTE

This is a senior consulting and practice leadership role within a growing GovCon services organization. You will operate as a true #2 to the practice leader, with responsibility across client delivery, people leadership, and practice operations in a multi-client consulting environment.
The role is designed for a leader who has run or helped scale a consulting practice, advised government contractors on FAR/DFARS contracts policy, and led teams delivering complex, high-impact client work.
What you’ll do
- Act as #2 to the Director across contracts, pricing, and procurement
- Lead complex client engagements across multiple GovCon clients
- Serve as senior escalation point for contract strategy and execution
- Translate FAR-driven requirements into practical, client-ready solutions
- Drive process improvement tied to pricing and FFP delivery
- Build forecasts and inputs for staffing and revenue planning
- Coach and develop managers and senior consultants
- Review high-risk deliverables before they go to clients
- Support practice operations, delivery quality, and growth
Must-haves
- Deep experience in government contracts (services-heavy)
- Strong FAR, contract types, and compliance knowledge
- Consulting or multi-client delivery background
- Experience advising small to mid-sized GovCons
- Proven ability to manage ambiguity and shifting priorities
- Hands-on FAR/DFARS contracts policy and execution experience, including interpreting and applying contract clauses
- Experience working in services-based government contracting environment
Nice to have
- Experience with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contracts
- Exposure to GovCon M&A, including diligence or post-close integration
- Background in PE-backed or high-growth services firms
- JD degree
