Job Description
We are looking for a Mid- to Senior-level Backend Developer with strong experience in Python to join our engineering team. In this role, you will help design and build scalable backend systems that power our compliance platform used by clients across the United States.
The ideal candidate has solid experience with modern backend development practices, is comfortable working with distributed systems, and prioritizes code quality, reliability, and testing. This role requires someone who can work independently, take ownership of tasks, and collaborate effectively within an agile development environment.
You will work closely with product managers, QA engineers, and other developers to design, implement, and maintain services that support our platform’s core functionality. Since the company operates in the United States, strong English communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python
Build scalable REST APIs and services that support distributed system architectures
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
Participate in Agile development processes using Scrum and Jira
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA, and engineers
Review code and contribute to improving engineering standards and best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues when needed
Work independently while maintaining clear communication with the team
Strong experience with Python backend development
Experience building applications using Flask
Hands-on experience with MongoDB
Solid understanding of distributed systems and service-based architectures
Experience working with Git-based workflows (GitHub)
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Strong focus on testing, reliability, and code quality
Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
Advanced English communication skills
Must be located in Latam.
Nice to Have
Experience deploying and managing applications in GCP environments
Experience working with containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
Experience building or maintaining high-availability backend systems
Familiarity with compliance, security, or regulated environments
Work remotely Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week (no weekends)
Vacation: 10 business days a year
Holidays: 5 National Holidays a year
