Job description

Our client is a business advisory team that helps business owners build profitable, sustainable businesses, from start-up to growth and eventual sale.

They are now seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their growing financial team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Bank Reconciliations.

  • Data entry such as manual journal processing.

  • Accounts payable i.e bill publishing through DEXT/Hubdoc.

  • Accounts receivable.

  • Payroll & superannuation processing through Xero/Tanda.

  • Monitoring and triaging multiple email inboxes.

  • Assistance with the preparation of management reporting.

  • Assistance with the preparation of BAS / IAS.

  • Reporting to Head of Bookkeeping.

  • Active and passionate team player who contributes to the work culture and is always looking for new and improved ways to do things.

  • Comfortable and satisfied in a Data entry and Bookkeeping role (their responsibilities may extend beyond this)

  • Experience using various programs such as Xero, Approval Max, Tanda, and DEXT and the ability to intuitively navigate through new apps

  • Ability to pick up an existing file and quickly work out the accounting setup e.g. accruals vs cash, batch payments, etc

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Excellent communication (both written & verbal) and interpersonal skills to support and liaise with multiple departments

  • This will be the sole and primary role of the candidate i.e. they will not service other clients outside of the business

  • Permanent work-from-home set-up

  • Dayshift (Australian business hours)

  • Full-time job

  • Annual leave

  • Christmas Bonus equivalent to 1 month’s wage (pro-rata)
