Cyclomedia is uniquely positioned as we cover the entire mobile mapping value chain with our patented hardware, processing, and AI data analytics. Through our APIs and our Street Smart application, we provide access to this valuable data. Street Smart is currently accessed over 50 million times per year by our customers and continues to grow.

We’re looking for a hands-on Front End Technical lead who combines strong coding skills with an eye for design and user interaction. You’ll guide a team of front-end engineers through complex challenges, from advanced 3D and panoramic viewers with ThreeJS to rich mapping features powered by OpenLayers. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, QA, and back-end teams to ensure a seamless user experience across all channels.

  • Lead the design and development of modern, greenfield front-end applications using React and related frameworks.

  • Define scalable, maintainable front-end architecture across apps and SDKs.

  • Set coding standards and ensure high-quality, consistent implementation.

  • Mentor and support team members through code reviews, guidance, and knowledge sharing.

  • Combine hands-on coding with strategic technical oversight.

  • Collaborate closely with product, design, QA, and back-end teams for smooth delivery.

  • Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Promote performance and accessibility best practices in all front-end work.

  • Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing, and release processes for front-end delivery.

  • Contribute to a user-friendly and reliable front-end SDK for internal and external use.

  • Encourage documentation and internal knowledge sharing.

  • Stay ahead of tech trends and evaluate new tools for team productivity.

  • Lead by example with ownership, curiosity, and a solution-oriented mindset.

Requirements

  • Passionate about mentorship, knowledge sharing, and empowering others, with a strong desire to help front-end engineers grow technically and professionally.

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, in addition to substantial hands-on front-end development experience.

  • Excellent communication skills — able to clearly articulate technical ideas, challenges, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Fluent in English, comfortable collaborating across teams and disciplines.

  • Takes full ownership from concept to production, translating complex product needs into clear, scalable technical solutions.

  • Solid grasp of Agile principles, with a structured yet flexible approach to planning, prioritization, and delivery.

  • Curious and open-minded, eager to experiment with new technologies and improve development workflows through thoughtful innovation.

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, able to guide others through uncertainty and unblock teams efficiently.

  • Committed to quality, sustainability, and long-term thinking, ensuring architectural and design decisions scale with the product and team.
