We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as the Head of Data Platforms. In this strategic role, you will spearhead our efforts to transform and modernize our data ecosystem. This is a challenging opportunity for a highly technical and innovative leader focused on building a modern, automated, and robust data infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing and implementing state-of-the-art data and analytics infrastructure and ensuring our platforms are scalable, secure, and capable of powering advanced analytics, and end-to-end process automation.

What You Will Do:

  • Strategic Leadership and Vision
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for modernizing data platform architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term scalability.
    • Act as a subject matter expert in data platform modernization, leading initiatives to consolidate and streamline data operations across the organization.
  • Platform Integration and Management
    • Oversee the design and implementation of robust data platform for secure, and efficient data ingestion, storage, and processing pipelines.
    • Ensure high performance, scalability, and data integrity for enterprise-wide data platforms
    • Lead efforts in optimizing system performance, implementing best-in-class data security measures, and ensuring rigorous data governance practices.
    • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team comprising data engineers, DevOps professionals, and automation experts.
    • Cultivate a collaborative environment by integrating technical teams with domain experts from business and functional units to drive innovation and ensure the seamless delivery of projects.
    • Partner with the Head of Data & Analytics, Data Engineering, IT, and key business stakeholders to understand requirements, define technical strategies, and implement scalable solutions.
    • Foster strong cross-functional relationships to ensure that data platform initiatives support broader business strategies and operational needs.
    • Enforce robust data governance standards, ensuring adherence to data quality, security best practices, and regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with compliance and risk management teams to implement controls and reporting processes that safeguard sensitive data and maintain audit readiness.
    • Lead research and experimentation initiatives to evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and methodologies that keep the firm at the cutting edge of data platform innovation.
    • Develop and manage budgets for data platform initiatives, ensuring that investments are strategically aligned and cost-effective.
    • Oversee vendor relationships and technology partnerships to maximize performance and value from external solutions.

What You Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in data platform engineering, cloud infrastructure management, or related domains.
  • Proven track record of technical leadership and managing multi-disciplinary teams in complex, enterprise-scale environments.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and deploying scalable data infrastructures that support advanced analytics initiatives.
  • Expertise in data architecture, including experience with distributed systems, high-performance data processing frameworks, and large-scale data integration.
  • In-depth knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing solutions.
  • Experience with implementation of Palantir Foundry and establishing best practices and standards for scale and flexibility
  • Strong background in system performance optimization, data security protocols, and modern data governance practices.
  • Experience with cloud-based systems, containerization, and orchestration frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and lead technical teams while managing cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent communication skills with the capacity to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.

Base Salary Range

$180,000—$215,000 USD
