Independent Contractor – [Marketing VA / Junior - Senior Level] (Remote).
Overview
20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
We are looking for a YouTube Manager / YouTube SEO & Growth Specialist to manage, optimize, and grow our YouTube channel. This role focuses on day-to-day channel management, YouTube SEO, audience growth, and performance tracking. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with YouTube Studio, TubeBuddy, AI tools, and understands how to improve visibility, watch time, CTR, and subscriber growth through data-driven strategies. This is a part-time role, ideal for someone detail-oriented and results-focused.
The objective of each engagement is to assist the client in improving business efficiency, enhancing service delivery, or supporting operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services rendered by a qualified contractor.
Scope of Services
Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks:
1. YouTube Channel Management
- Manage day-to-day operations of the YouTube channel
- Upload, schedule, and publish videos according to the content calendar
- Ensure videos comply with YouTube policies and brand guidelines
- Organize and optimize playlists to improve watch time
- Maintain consistency in branding, formatting, and posting frequency
2. YouTube SEO Optimization
- Conduct keyword research for video titles, descriptions, and tags
- Write SEO-optimized titles and descriptions to increase search visibility
- Optimize video tags using TubeBuddy
- Add chapters (timestamps) to improve retention and discoverability
- Continuously refine SEO strategy based on performance data
3. Audience Growth & Engagement
- Implement organic strategies to grow subscribers and views
- Improve watch time, audience retention, and click-through rate (CTR)
- Monitor and respond to comments to increase engagement
- Create and manage pinned comments and community posts
- Identify trends and content opportunities within the niche
4. Thumbnails, Covers & Visual Optimization
- Design or coordinate high-converting YouTube thumbnails
- Ensure thumbnails follow best practices for CTR and readability
- Create and update channel covers and branding assets
- Conduct A/B testing for thumbnails using TubeBuddy
- Maintain consistent visual identity across all uploads
5. Captions & Accessibility
- Create, edit, and upload accurate video captions
- Optimize captions for SEO and accessibility
- Ensure correct formatting and synchronization
- Use AI tools to speed up caption creation while ensuring accuracy
6. AI Tools & Automation
- Use AI tools for content ideation, titles, descriptions, and captions
- Assist with AI-generated optimization while maintaining brand voice
- Improve workflow efficiency using automation tools
- Stay updated on AI tools relevant to YouTube growth and management
7. Analytics & Performance Tracking
- Monitor YouTube Studio analytics on a regular basis
- Track KPIs such as views, CTR, watch time, retention, and subscribers
- Generate performance reports and actionable insights
- Make data-driven recommendations for content and SEO improvements
- Use TubeBuddy analytics to guide optimization strategies
Each engagement is based on a defined scope of work and is governed by an independent contractor agreement. Services must be performed professionally, with adherence to any timelines, guidelines, and deliverables agreed upon in writing.
Skills
The Contractor must demonstrate proficiency in the following, depending on the Client’s requirements:
- Proven experience managing and growing YouTube channels
- Strong understanding of YouTube SEO and algorithm behavior
- Hands-on experience with TubeBuddy
- Proficiency in YouTube Studio and analytics tools
- Experience using AI tools for content optimization
- Basic thumbnail or graphic design knowledge
- Strong written English skills
- High attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Can work 10 hour/week | 2hours/day
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience growing niche or monetized YouTube channels
- Familiarity with Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools
- Understanding of CTR psychology and retention strategies
- Previous experience as a Virtual Assistant or remote YouTube Manager
Work Schedule
- Contracted Hours per Week: 10 Hours
- Scheduled Working Days: Monday through Friday
- Daily Working Time: TBD, EST
Note: The Company will make reasonable efforts to align the Assigned VA’s schedule with the Client’s preferred hours as set forth above. However, availability may vary based on time zones, capacity, and the contracted hours set in this SOW. Any changes must be mutually agreed to in writing through a revised SOW.
Terms of Engagement
- Contractors will operate under a Master Services Agreement and a Statement of Work
- This is not an offer of employment; contractors are not employees of 20four7VA or any client
- All compensation is processed through 20four7VA according to the terms of the engagement
