About Addiction Recovery Care
Addiction Recovery Care (ARC), founded in 2010 and headquartered in Louisa, Kentucky, runs 38 addiction treatment centers across 16 Eastern and Central Kentucky counties. We offer a complete range of services for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. These services include detox, residential treatment, transitional programs, intensive outpatient, outpatient services, and medically assisted treatment (MAT).
Our treatment approach is holistic, combining CARF-accredited clinical programs, medical services led by an addictionologist or addiction psychiatrist, and a Christ-centered spiritual focus with 12 steps and chaplaincy care. We also focus on vocational rehabilitation and job training to help clients move from crisis to a stable career. Our specialties include:
- Clinical Counseling
- Group therapy and small recovery groups
- Evidence-based curriculum
- Peer support coaching
- Sober living skills
- Case management
- Medical monitoring
- Spiritual enrichment
- Cognitive behavioral therapy
One of our specific programs is Karen’s Place Maternity Center, which opened in 2018 in Ashland, Kentucky. This center offers residential treatment for pregnant and postpartum women with substance use disorders. We provide support throughout pregnancy and up to three months post-delivery, along with neonatal care skills training.
We hold CARF Accreditation and ASAM 3.1 Level of Care Certification. Our Peer Support Specialist Program (PSSP) is a key vocational training initiative. It teaches clients about recovery, clinical practices, life skills, and health and safety. Graduates who get certified and maintain one year of recovery can work as Kentucky Peer Support Specialists with us or other behavioral health agencies.
