Offers housing and services to vulnerable individuals in California transitioning from or at risk of homelessness.

About Brilliant Corners

Founded in 2004, we provide housing and related services to vulnerable Californians. We primarily help those moving out of homelessness or institutions, including people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), families, seniors, youth, and veterans. We work where housing meets healthcare, veteran services, the justice system, and homelessness response.

We offer several types of supportive housing designed for anyone needing affordable housing with comprehensive services. Our services include:

  • Housing Services: We manage rental assistance programs (scattered-site and project-based), acquire housing, provide move-in help, offer landlord services, and give ongoing tenancy support.
  • Property Management: We own and manage over 200 affordable supportive housing properties across California, with in-house property maintenance and asset management.
  • Housing Development: We acquire and construct properties to convert into supportive housing, interim housing, multi-family housing, or residential care homes.
  • Case Management: We provide intensive case management alongside subsidized housing for individuals and families.

We partner with government, healthcare organizations, service providers, landlords, and developers. We also work with nearly 80 agency partners to deliver more supportive housing services. We have housed over 19,000 people and have offices in San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Mateo.

Mission & Values

We founded Brilliant Corners believing everyone deserves safe, affordable housing and the support needed to live independently. We hold that a home is crucial for health, well-being, and independence.

We embrace a “Housing First” approach, focusing on helping people get into and stay in housing. We believe the housing crisis comes from systemic issues, not individual failings. We advocate for changing systems and aim to align housing and support resources to create scalable supportive housing programs. Our values include social justice, diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging (DEI&B), fair chance housing, and fair chance hiring.

We are a non-profit organization with 201-500 employees. Our work environment is compassionate, hard-working, and dedicated to solving social challenges. We look for motivated and committed individuals, fostering a culture that encourages collaboration and balances focused work with enjoyable activities.
