  • Leading the implementation of the Community Engagement Plan, ensuring activities effectively raise awareness and minimise gambling harm across the region.
  • Delivering high‑quality education programs, including the Schools Education Program, to young people, families, and community groups.
  • Building and maintaining strong community partnerships, collaborating with local organisations, networks, and stakeholders to expand engagement opportunities.
  • Contributing to program planning, reporting, and evaluation, preparing documentation that meets funding, contractual, and organisational requirements.
  • Representing Financial & Gambling Support Services at events, stakeholder meetings, statewide networks, and Gambling Harm Awareness Week activities.
  • Confidently representing Each in public settings, engaging with community members, partners, councils, and stakeholders to build meaningful connections.
  • Attending council and external stakeholder events, including ad‑hoc evening and weekend work as required.

Who we’re looking for

You’re collaborative, community‑minded, and passionate about health promotion, prevention, and reducing gambling harm. To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Knowledge of public‑health and harm‑minimisation frameworks relevant to gambling, addiction, and broader health and social issues.
  • Experience in program planning, evaluation, and reporting, with the ability to meet contractual and organisational requirements.
  • Experience supporting staff in community engagement activities.
  • Understanding of the gambling industry and gambling‑related harm, including how venues and gaming products operate.
  • Experience delivering training, workshops, or community education programs, adapting content to diverse audiences.
  • Understanding of the Social Model of Health and the Social Determinants of Health.
  • Knowledge of or experience within the not‑for‑profit or community sector, particularly in prevention or health promotion settings.
  • A valid driver’s licence, with the ability to travel across the Eastern Metropolitan Region.

What will make you stand out

  • Demonstrated understanding of gambling harm and effective prevention or early‑intervention approaches.
  • Experience delivering youth or school‑based education programs.
  • Established community networks within the Eastern Metropolitan Region.
  • Strong skills in needs analysis, program evaluation, or research.
  • Exceptional relationship‑building and collaboration skills.
  • Experience using GH Connect or similar client management systems
