We Got This Covered is a global digital entertainment brand that covers a multitude of pop culture topics for up to 10+ million monthly readers. We’re currently seeking weekly writers to bolster our coverage. This is a fully remote position, and can be filled as a freelancer or full-time contractor.
This is a great opportunity to cover the internet’s biggest trends, entertainment news, and the franchises you love (and some you’ll come to love) while working with a talented and passionate team. Applicants should be motivated self-starters who are eager to learn and who respond well to constructive feedback. We’re a global, digital news room filled with passionate and dedicated team members.
Please provide a portfolio or writing samples, and a resume detailing your previous work experience.

Bonus points for:
- Local news experience
- Interest in covering the paranormal events
Responsibilities:
- Help cover trending and breaking news
- Submit clean copy with minimal edits
- Meet deadlines for publishing stories
- Follow trending topics through Google Trends and Twitter
- Write about a variety of topics for the site
Qualifications:
- 1-2+ years of editorial/journalistic experience, specifically focused on entertainment
- Fluency in English and excellent writing skills
- Knowledge of SEO practices, WordPress, and Trello
