Our client is a U.S.-based ABA therapy provider supporting children and families. We are seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic ABA Clinical Documentation Reviewer to ensure clinical session notes meet insurance billing standards and provide constructive feedback to field clinicians.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST (4:00 PM – 01:00 AM South African Time). These working hours are subject to change depending on daylight savings and/or operational requirements.
- Work Environment: Fully remote role.
- You will be required to work on both South African and U.S. public holidays (compensation for SA public holidays in accordance with the BCEA).
- Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
- Power Backup: A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages. Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review session notes completed by RBTs and BCBAs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Identify missing information, inconsistencies, or documentation errors
- Ensure clinical notes meet required standards for insurance billing
- Provide clear, respectful, and constructive feedback to clinicians
- Communicate areas of concern with professionalism and emotional intelligence
- Track and follow up on corrected documentation where necessary
- Maintain organized and accurate records of quality reviews
- Collaborate with internal and clinical teams to support documentation standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience in ABA therapy required; clinical ABA experience highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of ABA documentation standards and insurance compliance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to provide gentle, professional feedback
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Highly organized and able to manage workflow independently
- Basic computer literacy, including MS Office and Outlook
