Pluribus Digital partners with our government customers to design, develop, and deliver useful and impactful digital products. We are a hands-on digital services consultancy – part technologists, part change agents, and all heart. We employ modern best practices in all that we do as we work to solve problems in public health, financial industry regulation, granting citizenship and asylum, and identity and access management.
We’re seeking a User Experience Researcher who is eager to learn. In this role, you’ll work closely with a senior researcher and cross-functional teams to plan, conduct, and synthesize research that informs product and service design. You’ll contribute to building a strong foundation for research operations while helping teams better understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points. This is an opportunity to develop your research skills in a collaborative, mission-driven environment where your insights directly shape human-centered government services.

What You’ll Do:
- Support the planning and execution of qualitative and quantitative user research activities, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, and contextual inquiry
- Collaborate with a senior researcher and cross-functional team members to translate research goals into actionable plans
- Synthesize research findings into clear insights, artifacts, and recommendations that inform product and design decisions
- Assist in developing research deliverables such as research plans, discussion guides, reports, and presentations
- Contribute to building and maintaining research repositories, documentation, and processes to scale research across teams
- Partner with designers, product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure research insights are integrated into the product lifecycle
- Help facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and research readouts to share findings and drive alignment
- Ask thoughtful questions to clarify ambiguous requirements and ensure research efforts are aligned with user and business needs
- Continuously learn and apply best practices in human-centered design, accessibility, and inclusive research
What You Will Bring:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
- A bachelor’s degree in any field, or equivalent work experience and certifications
- Approximately two (2) years of professional experience in Information Technology, focusing on user experience research or related work within product development teams
- Foundational experience conducting user research and applying a range of research methods
- Ability to synthesize research data into clear, actionable insights
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, Section 508) and inclusive research practices
- Experience working with tools such as Figma, FigJam, Zoom, Confluence, and Jira
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional Agile teams
- Comfort working with some ambiguity and a willingness to learn and grow within a structured research practice
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to present findings and support stakeholder discussions
- Self-starter with the ability to contribute independently while seeking guidance when needed
Bonus Points:
- Prior experience in government contracting
- Exposure to research operations (e.g., organizing research repositories, maintaining documentation)
- Interest and/or familiarity with quantitative data analysis
