The Opportunity

As the AI Ecosystem Head at Postman, you will lead the strategic alignment of AI development with our growing API ecosystem and partner integrations. You will drive the AI roadmap with a focus on expanding AI-driven API collaboration and agentic capabilities across the platform. This role requires a leader who can identify market opportunities, coordinate cross-functional AI initiatives, and foster strong partnerships to amplify the Postman AI platform’s impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development and execution of Postman’s AI ecosystem strategy, focused on API ecosystem growth and platform innovation.
  • Drive the AI roadmap, concentrating on API integration, ecosystem expansion, and AI-driven agent functionality.
  • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities for AI-enhanced API collaboration and intelligent agent features.
  • Collaborate closely with business units, product teams, engineering, and external partners to ensure alignment and successful AI initiatives deployment.
  • Oversee partner integrations, ensuring technical and strategic alignment with AI features and API lifecycle improvements.
  • Mentor and inspire internal teams and external collaborators to embrace AI innovation in API contexts.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and tools to continuously enhance ecosystem capabilities.

About You

  • Proven leadership experience managing AI or platform ecosystem teams, preferably in API-centric or developer platform companies.
  • Strong technical background in AI, machine learning, and API platforms with hands-on experience in developing or integrating AI-driven APIs or agents.
  • Deep understanding of API ecosystems, platform strategy, and partner management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate complex projects involving product, engineering, partnerships, and marketing.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Passion for AI safety, ethical AI development, and building scalable, user-centric platforms.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in or with API developer tools, SaaS ecosystems, or AI agent platforms.
  • Background in product strategy or technical partner management related to AI and cloud platforms.
  • Strong network in AI and API partner communities.

The reasonably estimated base salary for this role ranges from $310,000.00 to $345,000.00, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
