Job Description
The Lifebroker Risk Analyst plays a meaningful role in helping everyday Australians make confident, informed decisions about life insurance. Sitting at the heart of Lifebroker’s advice model, this role supports the integrity, trust and sustainability of the services we provide, ensuring they meet community expectations and regulatory standards. By working closely across Advice Delivery and TAL’s risk community, you’ll help strengthen how we manage risk, protect our licence to operate, and deliver on TAL’s purpose of supporting Australians through life’s moments that matter most.
In this role you will:
- Lead Line 1 incident and breach management to ensure timely identification, resolution and risk remediation.
- Strengthen risk and control effectiveness by partnering with stakeholders on assurance testing and issue outcomes.
- Translate risk insights into clear, practical guidance that supports informed decision‑making by risk owners.
- Embed efficient, compliant ways of working by supporting the evolution of business processes and controls.
- Provide trusted, commercially balanced risk and compliance advice that enables safe and sustainable business delivery.
- Champion strong risk culture by representing Line 1 risk across change initiatives, projects and governance forums.
Qualifications
- Bring relevant financial services qualifications (RG146 required), with a Diploma of Financial Services or risk/compliance qualification welcomed.
- Offer hands‑on experience in risk management, compliance or controls assurance within a regulated financial services environment.
- Apply a solid understanding of life insurance, superannuation and the broader financial services landscape to real business decisions.
- Use practical knowledge of risk management frameworks to identify, assess and manage risk in a commercial context.
- Communicate clearly and confidently, translating complex risk concepts into practical, business‑focused advice.
- Build strong relationships and apply sound analytical skills, supported by confidence using Microsoft Office and data‑driven insights.
