REQUIRED SERVICE: Business Support VA

REQUESTED EXPERIENCE TIER LEVEL: Junior-Senior Level

MIN. HOURS/WEEK: 40 hours

SHIFT TIME ZONE: EST

SHIFT HOURS: 9am to 6pm

SHIFT DAYS: Monday to Friday

We are a New York-based law firm specializing in representing injured and disabled workers to ensure they receive the benefits they are entitled to. We are seeking a dedicated and organized bilingual legal assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly trainable, possesses strong communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide client support via phone and email, addressing inquiries regarding case progression, medical treatment, income benefits, and upcoming court hearings.
  • Assist in processing case-related documentation based on client interactions.
  • Maintain organization and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Utilize legal case management software to update and track case progress.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and other legal staff to ensure seamless case handling.
  • Demonstrate empathy and professionalism while assisting injured workers and clients in distress.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken) is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a client-first approach.
  • Ability to work independently and remain focused in a remote setting.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with legal software (training provided).
  • Prior experience in customer service or administrative support is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of legal case management software such as Smart Advocate and Case Status (training provided if necessary).
  • Experience in a legal or client service role is a plus.
