Job description

ZigZag is looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team!

We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our growing team . As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing valuable insights into our company’s financial health.

Responsibilities:

  • Bank reconciliations using Xero, MYOB and Quickbooks

  • Publishing receipts/invoices in Hubdoc or DEXT

  • Prepare BAS working papers for quarterly lodgements

  • General admin work during quieter periods (to be assigned on an ad hoc basis)

Essential skills & experience:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles

  • Proficiency in Xero/MYOB/Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel and OneDrive

  • Experience with DEXT and Hubdoc for document processing

  • Solid knowledge of ATO regulations (GST, BAS, PAYG and superannuation requirements)

  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

  • Strong communication skills, comfortable with video calls (Zoom, Microsoft Teams,Messenger etc)

  • Understanding of privacy laws and best practices for handling financial data

  • Assist with preparing working papers for financial reports and business tax returns. This is more of an accounting task, but training will be provided with the successful candidate.
