Title: Independent Contractor – CPT-10325 Market Research & Business Support Virtual Assistant (B2B / Commercial Services) / Junior-Senior Level (Remote).

Overview

20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

Client is a private investment firm that builds, acquires, and scales businesses in commercial service industries. We are seeking a Market Research & Business Support Virtual Assistant to support early-stage investment analysis, market validation, and operational planning.

This role is highly research-driven and decision-focused. The VA will produce clear, structured insights that help leadership determine where to invest, what to launch, and how to staff new businesses.

This is not surface-level research. The ideal candidate can synthesize data into practical summaries that inform real business decisions.

The objective of each engagement is to assist the client in improving business efficiency, enhancing service delivery, or supporting operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services rendered by a qualified contractor.

Scope of Services

Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks:

  • Market & Business Research

Research target markets by city, region, and industry

Identify:

Market size and demand

Competitive landscape

Pricing benchmarks

Flag risks, barriers to entry, and growth opportunities

Deliver concise, structured reports (typically 1–3 pages)

  • 2. Workforce & Operations Research

Research local labor availability and wage ranges

Identify standard roles required to operate specific service businesses

Estimate staffing requirements for new market entry

Research licensing, regulatory, or compliance requirements by location

  • 3. Growth & Lead Research Support (Later Phase)

Build B2B lead lists for commercial service businesses

Identify companies, decision-makers, and contact data

Maintain clean, organized CRM records

Assist with outbound preparation and research when needed

  • 4. Organization & Documentation

Organize research files using shared folders and templates

Maintain updated market and industry research libraries

Work inside basic CRM tools (HubSpot or similar)

Ensure documentation is clear, consistent, and reusable

Each engagement is based on a defined scope of work and is governed by an independent contractor agreement. Services must be performed professionally, with adherence to any timelines, guidelines, and deliverables agreed upon in writing.

Skills

The Contractor must demonstrate proficiency in the following, depending on the Client’s requirements:

  • Experience in business research, market research, or administrative/business support
  • Strong written English with excellent summarization skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable using spreadsheets and online research tools
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and organized

Preferred Experience and Performance Expectations

  • Supporting startups, investors, or small businesses
  • Exposure to service-based businesses (cleaning, home care, logistics, B2B services)
  • Experience with lead research and CRM systems
  • Ability to turn raw data into executive-ready summaries
  • Accurate, decision-useful research
  • On-time delivery of assigned tasks
  • Organized and well-documented work
  • Consistent communication and updates

Work Schedule

  • Contracted Hours per Week: 20-25 Hours (with the potential to increase to full-time)
  • Scheduled Working Days: Monday through Friday
  • Daily Working Time: Flexible (task- and output-based), EST hours

Note: The Company will make reasonable efforts to align the Assigned VA’s schedule with the Client’s preferred hours as set forth above. However, availability may vary based on time zones, capacity, and the contracted hours set in this SOW. Any changes must be mutually agreed to in writing through a revised SOW.

Terms of Engagement

  • Contractors will operate under a Master Services Agreement and a Statement of Work
  • This is not an offer of employment; contractors are not employees of 20four7VA or any client
  • All compensation is processed through 20four7VA according to the terms of the engagement
