Summary:

This is a position based in mexican territory, please apply only if you’re based and allowed to work in México.

Our Training Coordinator is responsible for supporting our training programs end to end. This includes designing, maintaining, and updating training content, as well as supporting counselors across Trevor’s crisis services programs with industry best practices. Utilizing our online learning platform, the Training Coordinator provides structured guidance and clear expectations for new  and existing counselors, delivers empathetic feedback, and promotes volunteer and counselor success through rigor and kindness.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain a safe environment for every team member and trainee, promoting inclusion and diversity as integral parts of the organizational culture.

  • Create, maintain and update training content and resources in collaboration with  CQI, Crisis Services and Public Training  to ensure relevance and accessibility as needed.

  • Collaborate on the design of effective and up-to-date training programs that address the needs of trainees.

  • Tailor the content of training programs according to the latest research and best practices in the field.

  • Coordinate, facilitate, and support year-round training for a high volume of trainees.

  • Support day to day training team operations.

  • Facilitate engaging workshops, role-plays, support in shadow sessions  and other related activities for trainees.

  • Identify professional development and continuous learning opportunities for counselors and collaborate with management to implement growth initiatives.

  •  Respond to all written inquiries in a timely manner.

  •  Maintain accurate trainee progress and performance data across multiple platforms.

  • Communicate directly with team members and leadership to identify training needs and opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Participate in direct service shifts as a crisis counselor, at least 4-hour shift per month to maintain familiarity with operational and clinical procedures

  • Work closely with teams across the vertical to ensure consistency and alignment of training programs with organizational goals.

  • Conduct training program evaluations, analyze training data and utilize  this information to iterate and continuously improve training programs.

  •  Respond to all written inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Support vertical and organizational goals and initiatives.

  • Contribute to our critical mission of ending suicide among LGBTQ+ young people, while fostering an inclusive approach to your direct work and engagement with Trevor colleagues across the organization

  • Continually develop your LGBTQ+ competency and awareness

  •  Demonstrate fair, ethical, and equitable business practices

  •  Learn eagerly, share knowledge appropriately, and improve continuously

  •  Demonstrate successful planning and problem-solving skills, including multitasking and working well within tight timelines

  • Work, communicate, and collaborate effectively with others, including in stressful scenarios.

  • during challenging circumstances

  •  Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in all work

  •  Demonstrate a commitment to fostering and maintaining an environment of belonging

  • Assist with special projects, administrative tasks, and reports as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven successful, relevant experience (3 years) in designing and facilitating training or educational programs.

  • Proficiency in computer tools and online training platforms (LMS & MOOCs)

  • Ability to create effective training materials, manuals, and visual resources. (Articulate, Adobe Captivate, iSpring, Canva).

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Empathy and sensitivity to address issues related to trauma and consent.

  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of confidential information.

  • Formal studies or certifications in training, education, or pedagogy are strongly preferred.

  • Experience in team management or leadership.

  • Experience in handling crisis situations or providing emotional support.

  • Sensitivity to the issues and challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth in crisis.

  • Experience in measuring the impact of training programs and collecting data for continuous improvement.

$22,000 - $25,000 a month
