Role: Public Training, LMS Specialist

Location: This role will be remote in the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii

Reports to: Public Training Senior Manager

Summary:

This role structures and optimizes the LMS configuration and coordinates the daily operations of the Public Training team’s systems, schedules, and user support. This person will maintain the Public Training team’s schedules and updates for both synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences. Responsibilities include providing system and user support for the learning management system (LMS); managing the Public Training’s team’s schedules; devising and maintaining a training update schedule; analyzing and reporting on training metrics; updating system workflows and maintaining documentation to improve learning experiences; and collaborating with the Public Training team and across teams to ensure audiences receive state-of-the-art, accessible educational opportunities from Trevor. They bring strong planning, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills to the team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provides system administration for the Learning Management System (LMS), including daily management, assigning and registering users, and regular maintenance

  • Structures and optimizes LMS configuration, such as setting up and updating integrations, sub-portals, teams, permissions, and related system operations, to align with training and organizational objectives

  • Manages daily operations and logistics for the Public Training team, such as scheduling, record-keeping, attendance, vendor coordination, and related tasks

  • Updates system workflows, maintains documentation, and recommends improvements to enhance training experiences

  • Creates schedules for timely training updates and archives content on schedule

  • Tracks, analyses, and reports training metrics, such as attendance, completion rates, usage, and creates both custom and scheduled reports for stakeholders

  • Providers excellent technical support for diverse audiences and resolves user issues with professional, positive communication skills, both verbally and in writing

  • Plans for training capacity by regularly reviewing LMS usage, cost analysis, public training staffing schedules, training requests, and aligning those variables with Trevor’s goals and the needs of the audiences we serve

  • Collaborates with Public Training team and across teams to ensure we serve Trevor’s audiences with cutting-edge, accessible trainings that align with both short- and long-term goals

  • Enhances user experience across training systems, including the LMS, such as  incorporating partnership branding as applicable

  • Ensures security for Trevor and our users by abiding to LMS and online best practices

  • Learn eagerly, share knowledge appropriately, and improve continuously

  • Demonstrate successful planning and problem-solving skills, including multitasking and working well within tight timelines

  • Work, communicate, and collaborate effectively with others

  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in all work

  • Demonstrate a commitment to fostering and maintaining an environment of belonging

  • Other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Subject matter expert in learning management system (LMS) administration

  • 3+ years experience managing and enhancing LMS users’ learning experiences

  • 3+ years experience in daily administration and scheduling for training teams

  • Demonstrated ability to schedule, maintain, support, track, analyze, and report on learning experiences

  • Demonstrated history as a detail-oriented, self-motivated, and collaborative strategist

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of LGBTQ+ young people, including the unique challenges they face

  • Demonstrated commitment to staff wellness, with a trauma-informed approach, recognizing and addressing the unique challenges and stressors that volunteers face in crisis intervention work

  • Strong resilience and adaptability in handling crisis situations, with the ability to remain calm and provide effective support during challenging circumstances

  • A quiet, private work environment with high-speed dedicated broadband internet access (minimum 10Mb down/5Mb up)
